IRIS works with disability, human rights and professional organizations to advance research and development on safeguards for the medical assistance in dying (MAiD) system in Canada to ensure it is not used to justify the termination of people’s lives on the basis of disability. This work includes research reviews and development of practice guidelines and information resources.
